THEY REMEMBER
35x35cm Oil on board
This painting was inspired by a recent trip to Grenfell in NSW, where from 1865 three generations of my family lived and were goldminers at the Emu Creek goldfields. I felt an immediate connection to this whole area where the many unusual rock formations are a beautiful & very distictive feature of the landscape. Their 'Days of Gold' may be past now but these silent sentries still seem to hold their presence & their memory.
